Horrid1, Sav’o & Black Haze Link-up On New Single “Trinibad”
22 Jun 2022
On their latest track, Trinibad CGM brothers Horrid1 and Sav’O have linked up with Black Haze.
Given that all three artists are of Trinidadian heritage, it was only fitting that the video pay homage to their homeland.
The Trinidad and Tobago flags are prominent from the beginning of the video, as is the interesting use of footage from Horrid1 and Sav’O during the most recent Jam Jouvert festival. A clear sense of pride and belonging are strongly displayed throughout the video.
The brothers have a history of making their impact in the music industry, particularly this year with the release of their mixtape Violent Siblings, so they are no strangers to living up to their reputation.
There is no denying the chemistry between the two brothers, which always works in their favour. We can hear Black Haze repeatedly uttering the song’s opening lines, “Wha she waan? Gunman from Trinidad” Over the bouncy beat. This serves as somewhat of a prelude to a hype song. The repetition is also heard in the teasers posted on various social media platforms, which makes you more excited.
It was really wise and strategic to release this song right before the start of the summer. We’ll be on the lookout because this might very well act as a tasteful lead-up to a potential Trini takeover of the U.K. music scene.
