20 Aug 2024
This evening marked the 2024’s instalment of the PFA Awards, celebrating the 23/24 season of English football across the top four divisions. Hosted at The Opera House in Manchester, players, ex-professionals and managers from the Premier League, Championship, League One and League Two all congregated in the City to come together and celebrate an incredible season for those nominated in the awards.
After a fantastic season, Phil Foden won the PFA Men’s Player Of The Year accolade, with Cole Palmer taking home the title of Young Player of the Year, both undeniably well deserved.
“To win this award is something very special and it is one that I am very proud of and grateful for,” said Foden.
“To be recognised this way by your fellow professionals means everything and I would like to thank everyone who voted for me. Last season was another very special one for everyone at the club, but now all our focus is concentrated on trying to achieve more success this term.”
Amongst the other award winners for the evening, Khadija Shaw won the PFA Women’s Player of the Year with Grace Clinton picking up the prize for PFA Young Player of the Year after her tremendous breakthrough campaign in the WSL.
Alfie May picked up the award for PFA League One Player Of The Year with Jodi Jones picking up the award for PFA League Two Player Of The Year.
