Raye Breaks Brits Record Landing Seven Nominations At This Year’s Awards
24 Jan 2024
This year’s Brit awards nominations are out and came with a host of surprises including a record breaking campaign by London singer-songwriter Raye.
The escapism singer took home a whopping seven nominations including best new artist, artist of the year, and album of the year for her debut record, My 21st Century Blues.
Not stopping there she also has two entries in the song of the year category, capping a stellar year which saw her leave her label and go independent.
Central Cee, J Hus both earned four nods joining Raye, Dave and Little Simz in the artist of the year category.
Drill giants Headie One and K Trap also received recognition for their ‘Strength to Strength’ album up for the prize of group of the year.
Winners will each receive an award designed this year by visual artist and painter Rachel Jones at The BRIT Awards ceremony on Saturday 2nd March at The O2 arena, broadcast live on ITV1 and ITVX.
