Dizzee Rascal Teams Up With Kick Game For Nike Air Max Day

East London born Grime star and MC Dizzee Rascal has today collaborated with Kick Game in honour for Nike Air Max Day.

Known for his iconic beats and bold footwear, Dizzee and Nike’s relationship transcends musical genres and cultures, and has collectively produced iconic Air Max silhouette’s including the Tongue and Cheek Air Max 90 and the Dirtee Skank 180’s named after his monumental music momentsthroughout the 00’s. 

Kick Game captured Dizzee in his element and first stomping ground, Bow, East London, where we saw the British rap veteran reflect on his early years, ruminate over the beginnings of his music career, and in his usual tongue-in-cheek way divulge into the craft and inspiration behind his iconic Nike trainer designs.

Weaved into the visuals we also see archive clips from UK rappers in the game such as Skepta, and famed BBC 1Xtra DJ, DJ Target, before the moguls reached their now legend status. 

With the pending release of Slawn‘s Nike Air Max 90 model, following in the steps of Dizzee, who put a generation of people onto the shoe model, it seems only fitting to celebrate his legacy and cultural impact on Air Max Day, today.
