Bellah Announces Brand New EP ‘Adultsville’

Today, British singer and songwriter Bellah has announced her long-awaited brand new EP ‘Adultsville’, set for release on Friday 23rd September 2022 via Base ‘N’ Rebulz x Marathon Music. 

Following latest release “In The Moment” and May offering “Protoype” – the first two singles lifted from the forthcoming EP – “Adultsville” is landing in the wake of a truly defining last twelve months for Bellah. Last year saw the release of “Evil Eye” debut on the renowned COLORSplatform and receive widespread acclaim, including a nod from R&B force, SZA. Firmly in the spotlight, Bellah closed out 2021 armed with a MOBO Award nomination for Best R&B/Soul Actand a coveted support slot at Tems’ UK headline show. Bellah shows no signs of slowing down this year, spotlighted by British Vogue as a musician “Set To Rule 2022” and an exciting start to the summer across the festival circuit, with main-stage performances at Wireless Festival, Strawberries & Creem and Love Saves The Day.

After what has been a long-awaited return to music, Bellah is back and shining in new ways. Across seven tracks, “Adultsville” is her boldest body of work yet. It’s more than music, it’s an experience and space where you can join Bellah as she navigates adulthood and all the freedom and responsibilities that come with it. She is embracing the process head on, creating a whole new world for herself that is full of opportunity – exploring themes of growth, family, relationships and womanhood. 

The project sees her collaborate with some of the most coveted names in the game including Grammy Award-winning multidisciplinary Ari PenSmith (Beyonce, Wizkid, Snoh Aalegra, Alicia Keys), who executive produced the project. This is Bellah as she’s never been heard before, delivering a maturer sound both vocally and sonically, it’s a process she describes as “levelling up”. It’s this commitment to her self-development and refining her craft that has Bellah poised as one of the most exciting emerging artists this year. 

“Adultsville is the soundtrack to our lives. I think this project is narrating what I believe is the hardest part of life (I could also be very dramatic) but I feel like this project is a good representation of where I’m at right now.” Bellah says of the EP.
