tendai Drops New Project, ‘The Rain’

Rising UK artist tendai has unveiled his new project, ‘The Rain’. Alongside the release, the artist has also dropped a video for one of the lead singles, ‘Wishin’.

tendai’s talents stretch across production, songwriting, and all round artistry, demonstrating his unique skill set across this stellar drop. Recording the majority of the release in a warehouse to create a distinctive sound solely associated with the project, this is certainly a talent destined for a bright future, combining new sonics with electric performances throughout.

Speaking on his creative process, the artist states:

“I wanted to go to the warehouse because I wanted the music’s feeling to be reflected in the space it was created. The industrial sounds, the sparse production, the space in the writing and in the vocal delivery—everything about the music was screaming ‘SPACE’. So, when the time came to find somewhere to finish it, the warehouse just made sense. This project is generally about my first heartbreak and how I was affected by a love lost. ‘the rain’ is the beginning of my journey into self; searching inward for musical references and inspirations that I have always had but ignored. This project is the start of my journey home.”
