Shenseea and Megan Thee Stallion Leave Fandom Divided Over Raunchy New Single, ‘Lick’

Jamaican artist, Shenseea has left listeners gasping for air with her latest release ‘Lick’ featuring Megan Thee Stallion. 

Featuring a sample of DJ Flex and Denise Belfon’s legendary hit, “Put Your Back In It”, the track caught viral attention for its risqué content. Not one to hold their tongue with poor performers, the rappers each take turns in teaching their lovers the art of female pleasure.

“Put your back in it,” Shenseea bellows. “Lick it well fast, but not too much.” Echoing her peers’ sentiments, Megan also offers her own tutorial with her verse – “Suck it like a crab leg, I’m cracking it/ Take it out, catch your breath, get back in it.”

Whilst some fans have lauded the collaboration others have not been so forthcoming with praise. Likened to Cardi B and Megan’s infamous “WAP” collab, fans expressed their disappointment with Shenseea’s “experimentation” on the song.

Nonetheless, Lick is a crystal clear statement that the dancehall artist is ready to spread her wings and fly out from the box fans have placed her in.
