26 Jul 2024
East London artist Dré Six has delivered his debut EP, ‘TrapBlues’. Alongside the release, he has also come through with a monochromatic video for one of the standout tracks, ‘Foreign Cars’.
The singer songwriter demonstrates his talents as both a lyricist and musician across a six track offering. Taking the subject matters often associated with the genres of Drill and UK Rap, the artist has managed to repurpose these with an Indie flair, setting himself apart from others in his field. It is no wonder then that Dré has already collaborated with Skepta and has many admirers for his unique talents.
Speaking on the release, the artist states:
“It’s inspired by my life; memories and situations from my past to my present everyday life. The songs on TRAPBLUES’ are a reflection of the things I see and do, whether positive or negative, and are therefore influenced by the works of some of the people who inspire me across the spectrum of music, from Ed Sheeran to Young Adz”.
