Project 6 Kicks Off Festival Season In Style…
27 May 2023
Festival season is officially back, and kicking it off this Bank Holiday weekend was Project 6 Festival – and what a way to start off the season! Held in the picturesque Brockwell Park, yesterday marked the first ever Project 6 festival, and it went down as a great success!

Combining a diverse lineup of talented artists, a vibrant atmosphere, and stunning surroundings, the festival delivered an unforgettable day of music. The musical lineup at Project 6 Festival was curated fantastically; with over 100+ acts over the course of the day, 7 stages filled by 15,000 music fans was followed by ten afterparties in the capital. Spanning across multiple genres, the festival catered to a wide range of musical tastes. From renowned headliners to emerging talents, each artist delivered sensational performances, and really showcased their craft to willing listeners who constructed an atmosphere of impeccable energy.
The main stage featured an eclectic mix of jungle, drum and bass, hip-hop, keeping the energy high throughout the day. The main stage saw huge names such as Shy FX, Ghetts and Fabio & Grooverider provide exhilarating sets, with the FabricLive stage notably hosting the likes of Ocean Wisdom, Frankie Stew and Harvey Gunn, Jeshi, Bawo and Finn Foxell – with many more commanding this stage and the other five, captivating the crowd with their infectious energy and undeniable talents. The diverse range of musical offerings ensured that there was something for everyone to enjoy, leaving festivalgoers satisfied and eager for more.
The standout set from my own perspective from Project 6 came from Frankie Stew and Harvey Gunn, who culminated a huger audience of current and future fans of their music at the FabricLive stage. As said previously when covering their music, in an industry where sometimes we can be blinded to the truth and originality of substance fuelled music, Frankie Stew and Harvey Gunn are the perfect example of how the flowers can blossom when you stick to your roots. The introspective nature of their music created a perfect interconnectedness between them and the crowd – blissfully sampled crispy production rung through the air to the back of the audience, and the crowd were kept engrossed throughout the whole set.

Brockwell Park provided an idyllic setting for Project 6 Festival. Lush greenery, open spaces, and stunning views created an inviting atmosphere that perfectly complemented the vibrant energy of the event. The organizers paid careful attention to the festival’s decor, adding colorful installations, art installations, and creative stage designs that enhanced the overall ambiance. The combination of the Brockwells’ beauty and thoughtful aesthetics created a visually captivating environment that truly immersed attendees in the festival experience.
The team at Project 6 comment, “Project 6 launched in style yesterday, with sunshine and people embracing the beginning of festival season. We express immense gratitude to the talented artists who brought an incredible energy to the event. Witnessing the day transition into lively nighttime sessions and the support for various venues across London was fantastic.”

Project 6 Festival in Brockwell Park surpassed expectations, delivering an outstanding festival experience that ticked all the boxes. The combination of an impressive musical lineup, picturesque surroundings, engaging activities, and a strong sense of community created an atmosphere that left a lasting impression on attendees. Roll on next years Project 6 Festival…
