So on Friday I was granted my first ever press pass (shouts out to Iris Herscovici) to attend the Dice Summer Party which occurred yesterday (22nd August 2016). When I tell you this party was lit, I mean it was litterific. The crowd was welcomed in by a DJ spinning the most banging of tunes of today and even a few throwbacks such as Nothin’ by N.O.R.E which really mad me lose all my common sense.

Then BBC Radio 1 DJ Jamz Supernova took to thestageto hype up the crowd that lastbit more for the first act which was the larger than life female MC, Nadia Rose who had literally just jumped off a plane from Rio to make it there. She opened up with the crowd favourite ‘SKOWD’ and also performed her verse from the remix of Coco’s big track ‘Big N Serious’. Then the Croydon native banged out a little freestyle whilst her DJ beatboxed the track which is something I’m definitely glad I witnessed in real life. She closed her set performing ‘Boom’ and jumping into the crowd so fans were literally up close and personal which the two-bunned star.

Next to touch the stage was Section Boyz’s personal DJ, DJ Grievous who started to get the mosh pits ready for when the 6 manned crew touched the stage. Section Boyz came out to a personal favourite of mine ‘Bimma’ and immediately the crowd was like a warzone with mosh pits and Sleeks firing the attendees up my shouting ‘Oi, mosh pit gang’ made things much worse. It was definitely survival of the fittest. This was my 4th time seeing Section Boyz and I can certainly say that they get better with every performance. The set also included smash hits such as ‘Lock Arff’, and ‘Trapping Ain’t Dead’ as well as the usual champagne spraying and water chucking…you know, the usual.

But all in all, this event was a perfect way to re-hype the summer vibes, especially with our British weather.
