Austin Daboh resigns amidst Apple vs Spotify friction

Austin has influenced British music through changing and diversifying music playlists during his time at Spotify as head of Music, Culture & Editorial. However, the Senior Editor, will apparently begin work at the challenging company – Apple music – now that he has retired his position at Spotify.

Apple have made their own shift as they’re losing the iTunes strategy and sticking to their music streaming service. As a result, there is an open position at the company that may suit Austin’s expertise.

His next move is unclear but we’re looking forward to more influence by someone who is in touch and cares about British music culture.
